About the journal
Overview
The Oxton Science Journal (OSJ) is an international, multidisciplinary, open access scientific journal published by Oxton Education. The journal publishes original research, reviews and case reports in the health sciences and sleep medicine, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and translational research — research that brings scientific output closer to clinical practice and health policy.
All manuscripts undergo peer review and a transparent editorial workflow, from submission to publication. Published articles receive persistent identifiers and metadata for indexing services, and are freely available, without access barriers, under a Creative Commons license.
Focus and scope
OSJ welcomes contributions that advance scientific knowledge and have applications in health promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. Areas of interest include:
- sleep medicine, chronobiology and circadian rhythms;
- sleep disorders and their relationship with pain, mental health, metabolism and functioning;
- physical therapy, rehabilitation and movement sciences;
- orthopedics, traumatology and musculoskeletal pain;
- public health, epidemiology and health policy;
- assessment of instruments and patient-reported outcome measures;
- health education and evidence-based practice.
Clinical, observational, methodological and validation studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, as well as case reports with a relevant clinical contribution, are welcome. Manuscripts outside this scope may be declined at editorial screening without being sent for peer review.
